Job Title: Online Marketing Executive – SEO, Web and Email
Reports to: Digital Design Manager
Location: Bristol, UK.
Salary: £23k + Quarterly commissions

The Role

This role is suitable for a technical marketer that has a particular skill and knowledge in SEO, web design, email marketing and digital design. You will be working closely with our Digital Design Manager, Marketing Manager and content marketing team, to manage the day to day running of the website development, email and SEO strategies.

A keen eye for detail and ability to put creative ideas on screen are a must. Your experience of the Adobe Creative suite and PowerPoint will come in handy! We’re not expecting a software developer, but you will need experience of editing HTML/CSS for web and email as well as strong knowledge of SEO.
Naturally tech savvy you’ll have an interest in marketing and analytics to keep a keen eye on our performance and the uplifts in search marketing and email metrics we’re delivering.
As a marketer, you will understand the importance of lead generation in everything that you do and always bear this in mind when undertaking activities and prioritising your work.
Communicating well in a team, and ensuring your results are visible, is important but we’re also after someone who can contribute to the strategy as much as they can complete the work, wowing us with their creative ideas from time to time.
Curious about the latest trends, you’ll soon become an SEO legend in BlueVenn! We’ve already seen huge gains from our SEO strategy in 2018 and we’re looking to take it further in 2019 and beyond.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and optimise email marketing campaigns.
  • Manage and edit the company’s websites.
  • Report and analyse on SEO, web and email performance.
  • Improve the conversion rates of the web and email strategies.
  • Attain key performance indicators such as reducing waste and increasing conversion.
  • Continually work on the Search Engine Optimization of the website(s).
  • Create online banner adverts and oversee digital advertising.
  • Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new tech and ensure standards are kept.

Your Skills

This role would fit a person who has done similar in another B2B organisation or who can bring knowledge and skills from an agency. Equally suitable would be a fresh faced graduate bursting with energy and demonstrable experience from university, college or elsewhere. Most important to us is that we employ the right person that can fit into the existing team and have the same beliefs in working hard to generate good quality leads. We work intimately with the Sales and Business Development teams to ensure that we have a joined up approach to new business, and we support all other departments to contribute to the entire customer journey from awareness to customer success. SEO / SEM enthusiast.

  • Email and website editing including HTML / CSS knowledge.
  • Experience with sending and managing email and social campaigns.
  • HubSpot experience would be a nice to have.
  • Photoshop skills is a must really.
  • Own and manage marketing content.
  • Be curious about marketing and technology.

About the Marketing Team you’ll be working with

You will join a team of 7 in the marketing department that all work in tandem to optimise the awareness of the brand, the generation of leads, the cultivation of those leads and the delivery of qualified leads into the Sales Team.

The BlueVenn marketing team is responsible for all lead generation globally across 3 business brands with particular focus on the UK, US and Western Europe markets. You will need to be able to consider cultural differences to your work. Perhaps that’s different web browsers, different email clients or different SEO algorithms.

The team operates horizontally, rather than vertically, which means that everyone contributes, including our hands-on Marketing Director, and you’ll be encouraged to provide new ideas and always be on the lookout for new, innovative ways to improve the entire marketing function. This means perhaps stepping out of your comfort zone with confidence, accountability and visibility.

Pay and Entitlements

Holidays: 25 days per year (+ accrue 1 extra day every year of service)
Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm on Fridays
Salary: £23k + Quarterly commissions based on marketing team performance
Location: Bristol
Benefits: Include pension + private healthcare after a successful 6 month probation.
